Newquay Airport Closure

Cornwall Airport Newquay has announced a temporary closure due to the current Government lockdown for England stating on their web site “Covid-19: Our terminal is temporarily closed, with all scheduled flights to and from the Airport suspended due to the impact of current Government guidelines on demand. The Aerodrome remains open to support vital services such as Cornwall Air Ambulance, HM Coastguard Search and Rescue, Business and Military operations. Find expected start dates for flights here.

Needless to say that the staff at Newquay Airport Taxis – Henver Cars are disappointed, but still on hand to offer transport for essential workers for those essential journeys. However, the terminal should reopen for business as usual in early December when the lockdown is scheduled to end, and you can book your Newquay Airport Taxis from Henver Cars as normal for your transport from Cornwall Airport Newquay.

So if you are planning to fly to or from Newquay Airport, book those Newquay Airport Taxis now.

Newquay Airport Parking

A liason has now been invited/appointed between the local Taxi trade and Newquay Airport (Steven Witchell). I had a meeting with Richard Thomasson at the airport on Saturday 22nd April, where possible changes to the car parks were discussed, and the possibility of extra facility for Taxi operators via a permit scheme.

Due to the gross abuse of public and especially taxi operators not parking in the correct manner, it is intended to re-introduce parking enforcement; Mr Thomasson expressed that as unpopular as this was, he felt there was no choice.
