The current proposals on the table for the review of parking in Newquay “may also mean a proposed change to the existing rank in Fore Street in order to accommodate a loading area for businesses. It is proposed that the northern rank (which operates 9.30pm to 6am) is changed to a shared taxi rank/limited waiting bay, with a loading bay at its north end (10m to reduce rank by 2 spaces, but operational daytime only). This will mean a possible reduction of 2 spaces on this night-time rank“!!!!!!!

You know as well as I do that we will end up with vans etc., parking there overnight, and no one will do anything about it!!! Why not change the bus waiting bay on the other side by the car park to a shared use loading bay instead, it’s hardly ever used?

The Council are advising us that the DBS service write to you and offer you the update service (£13 a year as opposed to £60 every 3 years). This is not the case, or at least I can never find it and missed it last time. In order to join the update service, you have to do it yourself the moment you get your application reference, or when you get your CRB certificate.
